Deadly Bombing In Southeastern Turkish City

At least eight people have been killed and dozens wounded, including police officers, after a car bomb exploded close to a police station in the southeastern Turkish city of Gaziantep.
The powerful blast set fire to several vehicles, including a city bus carrying three of the victims, the city's mayor told Turkey's NTV news channel.

Erdal Ata, Gaziantep's governor, said: "Unfortunately we lost eight citizens and nearly 60 people are getting treated at several hospitals according to our initial information."

Al Jazeera's Sue Turton, reporting from Gaziantep, said that the death toll was likely to rise.
"We are being told that eight people have been killed and at least 57 others injured with six people in a critical condition," she said.
